possible coming from base of window frame. We had a windscreen snap that fell out and leaked. Had a small leak in the head as well. Condensation?
With all the rain this year who knows.

Re: Where is everybody?
I'm still checking once a week. Hell, I sold Retriever last summer and purchased a 37 Duffy. Dealing with the flybridge was getting old. Had her for 15 good years and don't regret one minute of it. New owners are loving it and keep her in Portland Maine. Once a Bertram owner, always a Bertram owner....

1988 Bertram 33 FBC For Sale
After 15 years to the day, we are moving to a 37 Duffy. Retriever is a well-loved example of this awesome boat. A few notables are: Custom removable aluminum dinghy davits. We carry a 9.5' Highfield w/8 Yamaha no problem. Solid fiberglass swim platform. 20 gallon holding tank. All Interior & Ext...

Re: New 33 FBC Owner
I don't see a anti syphon valve. The fitting between the valve and line may be an adapter. I did have this issue on a previous boat on the generator fuel line. Try filling the filter with fuel. Also had one fuel pump last only a season but it had been on the shelf forever at the marina and was pre-e...

Re: shopping advice needed
I did the starboard risers this fall when I started to get some steam. They were junk. Perfect on the outside, gone on the inside with holes. I just never got to them. I believe they were ceramic coated, and I think they were replaced in 08 or 09. In 17 I did the full Monty on the port side when I r...

Re: shopping advice needed
Al, I'll be doing some elbows this spring and will be shopping early. I usually use Merc. parts which I believe are from Mexico and the quality is good. I have used Marine Engine Parts, (lighthouse marine on LI) May try Monahan's in Weymouth because the freight can be big.

Re: NE Nor’easter
Retriever is wrapped and pointed NE. The cover survived the fall storm (S***Show) and this one fine. Tides here were big on the AM cycle. Most amazing was the lights only flickered a few times. I guess the fall storm which had higher winds culled all the weaker trees. Need heated wiper blades for ou...

Al, HNY to you and the rest of the B33 crowd. I think... I know everything that's right and wrong with MY boat, but it took 15 years! And don't sweat Omicron, to me it was getting ill like I remember. Not fun, but not the end of the world.

Re: Touching base
Nice to not climb a ladder to get on the boat with it in the water. But here in Mass. with the Cruel North Atlantic ocean a stones throw away, staying in the water is not a option. Insurance on our boat won't allow it. And given what happened a few weeks ago with gusts well over 100 mph in places it...

Re: Serpentine Belt Conversion
I had crusaders in my previous boat and everything about that engine layout was superior to mercruiser. That said the merc's still run good.
