I got tired of the old bulbs that were hard to buy and keep working.

I purchased new bases from a marine store, drilled the old ones out and used SS washers and caulked them in. Used led lights. Perfect.

I just changed my tank out on my ‘91 33 SF. The vent is in the same location as the fill and feeds. All visible from the cover. My vent was on the side of the hull just below the fill

Thanks. I ended up cutting out the original units and replacing and the entire units with LED. I will look at the site though

Hello ….

Has anyone swapped out the stock bow lights with LED’s. I am giving up on mine. Aside from availability, they are a royal pain in the stern.

This old salt still works on his own boat. Just finishing up a new fuel tank, which lead to new exhaust hose, bulkhead, and new bonding.

I had a minor fuel leak of about 3 oz a day. Lots of fun.

Hope to have it all buttoned up this week!

Hi, I am in the process of changing my fiberglass tank. It had a small leak (diesel). With the cockpit floor removed, I am changing my exhaust hose as well. Mine is 6”. It was a converted gas boat. Hope is well. I have a SF, and don’t get in and out of engine compartments easier with age. I have a few bruises from doing maintenance this weekend.

Location unchanged, between engine boxes

I just put a fireboy in my SF, as the ‘91 halon system was very corroded, to the point I thought it would burst. Still have to wire an electronic box that shuts off the engines if system is called on. Expensive but piece of mind.
