Wow. It sounds like an increase of about 6 knots w/ the new 8.1's. I curently get about 16 to 17 at 3200 rpms depending on load and bottom. I would be thrilled at 19 to 20 knots. Thanks again guys. I am pushing 18000 lbs dry, cruising 16 knts at 3200 rpms. I am also running 4-blade props 19"x19". This calculates to 22 gph. The typical 4-5 knot increase in speed would be incredible. I would probably have to install seat belts on the old girl. Mike
