Re: 33sf Split air conditioning system

Thanks for your response. I am planning on using the existing manifold that splits the fan air where the current evaporator/blower is located inside the port forward hanging closet. It’s a small plywood box sitting on top of the blower with a short 6” hose directing air into the cabin at the left fr...

Re: 33sf Split air conditioning system

Thanks for the reply. It’s the unit I have been researching about. Good to know your opinion on it. It’s going to take quite a bit of effort but this fall I’m going to remove the split system and upgrade to this self contained unit.

33sf Split air conditioning system

I’m thinking of removing the old cruise air split system with a new self contained 16,000BTU unit. The split system still works even after 42 years but the condenser/fan is only 3 ft from your head while try to sleep. It’s 82db and my wife is always complaining about it. Any advice on removing and r...

Hi Frank, yes I believe being distilled is important. I cant believe how much effort it saved on removing the water spots. I was using a polish with a high speed 7" buffer (not orbital) with little effect. I was thinking about rubbing compound and not looking forward to it when one of the yard ...

Frank, on a different topic you said you were going to do some polishing (I guess the hull). I do mine each fall followed with some Teflon/wax. This year I had some really hard water spots that did not want to polish out. If you should have any as well you can remove them with distilled white vinega...

Hi Doug, I'll check with her and get back to you. I do have the advantage of being in a no salt environment at the moment.

Please remember that when the worst is past and the heavey wind and rain decrease you may very well see a huge storm surge. If you are not able to let out your dock lines your going to be pulling cleats off the dock and the boat causing a lot of damage.

Mike is right about Beacon Fabric. My wife used the old curtains as a pattern made new ones, included linning for them along with new plastic hangars from beacon fabric. Doug is right about the price from interior companies, too much! You can see the end result in the slide show from my interior red...
