C'mon guys, Obama is the best hope there is for a true socialist nation. Marx would be very proud. But seriously; these guys (Obama and Biden) think they can socially engineer this great country into their own vision of utopia. Something that I thought was hilarious was when Colin Powell said that M...

just remove the cockpit floor; its screwed in place and sealed with caulk. The tank is tabbed in place tabbed in place along the main bulkhead, the bulkhead just aft of the tank, and it's bedded on the bottom with various materials depending on what year etc. Easiest thing to do is cut it up with sa...

My two cents; I'don't like the idea of fuel tanks too far forward of the center of gravity (engines or aft, especially with gasoline. Fuel tanks need to be much more carefully designed because of the greater g forces the farther forward you go. And I agree that the handling gets squirly when you hav...

I was out last weekend and had no luck. I didn't go far; just garden state south, little egg, and garden state north reefs. Wasn't really serious about fishing though but I usually don't get skunked even if I'm not serious. Anyway I haven't really heard any great reports at all this year except for ...

Grady, that won't work. What you are talking about just re-indexes the pumps to accept a different direction input from the motor; it does not cause the gear to reverse it's rotation. Rather it allows the tranny hydraulic pump to match the revs of the motor so the fluid goes in the proper direction ...

Welcome to the group. I recently bought a '77 33fbc. This does seem like it is a buyers market now(not for long. Mine is gas, so the fuel tank issue really held my purchase price down. If you're thinking of a gas boat; as long as you change the tank right away, and the price is right go for it! The ...

sounds like a ballast resistor in the starting circuit, if it has one. A ballast resistor gives the ignition coil full battery volatge for starting, but reduces voltage to the coil, points after releasing the starter to give longer life. If the ballast is open, the engine will die when you release th...
