My dad and I had a 1979 33 SF years ago with bow lights and the same thing happened to us (not to that extent!). But I can say it was like a fire hose blasting through the anchor locker! Dont realize how much pressure those things are under. John

As for the roll question, we had a 79' 33 SF with a full Rybo tower, it was tall, and that boat really rolled, worse than the 87' 33 SF we owned later. What I find interesting is that although I have seen a few lower helms in the first generation 33 SF, I have never seen a lower helm in 1987 models or later, yet they were offered as an option at least in 1988. Anyone ever seen one? John

Thanks Frank, that sounds like ours, I do seem to remember that the Buyer had a yard. I really loved that boat, we bought it in '89 with just 200 hrs on it and we knew (through speaking) both previous owners. Just wondering if anyone up in the NE has seen my old 33 SF and what it looks like now? Sold it about 3 years ago, 1987 SF "Strike III" (gas) My understanding was that the buyer was going to re-power when we sold it (our 330's were rung out). Last time I heard it was in MD. John
