Just noticed this post. Ed is a head hunter and I noticed he is a contact on my LinkedIn. Hmmmm we haven't seen him since the Florida get together we had several years ago. Gene Dugan Boca Raton, Fl. "Nauti Marie" 1989 33 FBC 2007 8.1 Crusaders

Dan, Darn...we were just up there Thanksgiving week. We'll be at Sailfish in PB next week. If I get up there I'll give you a call and drink a couple beers though. Gene Dugan Boca Raton, Fl. "Nauti Marie" 1989 33 FBC 2007 8.1 Crusaders

Nope no anode. I treat the water too. I tried a couple brands of water treatment, with no success. My guess is that it's just a cheap tank liner. I will just replace it with a marine unit. Gene Dugan Boca Raton, Fl. "Nauti Marie" 1989 33 FBC 2007 8.1 Crusaders

I put in a Ho Depot water heater about 5 yrs ago. Yeah it isn't marine approved, but works just fine for about $100. One thing I noticed is that when it sits for a few weeks, the water coming out the hot water side smells like rotten eggs. Must be the liner. I never had the problem with the Raritan....

I'm a firm believer that Ethanol sucks in everything. I read yesterday the EPA approved E15 for cars 2008 and up. I've been lucky that we can still get the 90 oct non ethanol fuel. In the Bahamas, I use an additive. They don't know what they're pumping. And I make sure to burn all the fuel out when ...

I was there Thurs. as well. The Co. I usually work a booth with decided to pull out. I didn't see anything that wowed me...pretty much the same as last year with higher prices. Unless you were spending $1M up...then you could negotiate a little. Gene Dugan Boca Raton, Fl. "Nauti Marie" 198...

We have a guy with a new rig. I'll get you the name. BTW, "Yachting Bliss" is down at Bahia Mar. They are about as expensive as you can get. There are a bunch of fuel polishers here. Who knows which they used. Let me check for a tank mfg. in Pompano I used. Hard to tell if anybody is still...

Tim, yes that was it. Kohler obviously fixed that issue. I was working on a boat the other day with the Kohler 5E and they had added a kit to bleed off that air pocket. I still have the 7E and have never had the problem on mine. Gene Dugan Boca Raton, Fl. "Nauti Marie" 1989 33 FBC 2007 8.1...

Tim, nice to see you around again. BTW, I remember when we wre over on the west coast a couple years ago. We were on your boat and you were concerned that your genset wasn't pumping enough water when up on plane? Did you resolve that? If not I may have the answer..... Gene Dugan Boca Raton, Fl. &quo...

Gary, everything that can go wrong usually does. The worst is the beating you take from mechanics, etc. I work in this business. To bad I hadn't given you my number. We have a shop in Lantana, just North of the Boynton inlet. You could have come in Boca, or Palm Beach and limped in there. We could h...

I have looked at this boat for a customer in Finland. Pretty nice, and we thought the 57K was a bit much. The customer wasn't excited enough to pay that much either, but he hasn't walked away yet. Who knows.... Gene Dugan Boca Raton, Fl. "Nauti Marie" 1989 33 FBC 2007 8.1 Crusaders

Might be fun. I think the marina just North of the Venitian causeway used to be a Marriott. I'd stay over at the (cheaper)city marina. April 29, the weather can be pretty iffy to get to Bimini. Big Game is fixed up pretty nice. $1.50/ft. I usually stay at Bluewater, but the wife and I talked about t...

I use Norton 360. I have 4 computers and a notebook on it. The only issue I had with it, was my Son downloading tons of crap finally shut the desktop down. I loaded up a program called "Stopzilla" on top of the Norton to keep it cleaned up until he went off to school in Aug. and then I too...

Good one Doug. Sea Cock & Ball Valve "Helper" is what you got Buzz. They do come in handy. Viagra works too. We usually have a boat parked up the "New River" if we are doing multiple days. Then ride the shuttle back and forth to Bahia Mar. I'll keep you posted to see when I'm...
