Re: Repower
Also, thanks Al for the info. They did all new hoses and repack of the shaft seals. I didn't have to ask them, but I was glad to know so I could if needed.

Re: Repower
Well, she's done. I got her back yesterday. What an adventure that turned out to be. I'm not sure about things on the right coast, but here on the left coast labor is definitely an issue. I am happy with the work, the yard did a very nice job on the install, but man, there is no such thing as "...

Lady Alberta
Anybody know the "Lady Alberta" 33 SF in Mattapoisett? That looks like a pretty sweet deal with the Yanmars. Just saw it on Yachtworld for 74Kish. Just seein' if anybody is on the site.

B33 Youtube videos
Hi everyone. Not being particularly brilliant or necessarily aware of many things(my wife reminds me of the incessantly), it is only recently that I have figured out how many of the YouTube videos of the B33's are from people on this site! Those are always fun to see and I have watched them over and...

Re: Wolverine engine block heaters
Thank you! I think I'm going to try the Grizzly heaters. They seem to have a good following out here.

Re: Repower
Port engine is back and running on the bench. Full rebuild and balance all rolling parts. I'm getting really excited to see what the boat is like with brand new power. This was the good motor and they still went .030 over to clean up the cylinder walls. It was just under 2000 hours. The starboard mo...

Re: Groco head
Awesome! Thanks guys! Was there much to modify when switching out the heads, or is it pretty much unbolt the old one and bolt in the new one?

Groco head
All right, here is a fun one. I think the joker valve is toast on the old Groco and we have been using a golf club handle to pump the toilet. A replacement handle is only about 29 bucks and I think the rebuild kit is a little over a hundred. So, big question, do I rebuild the Groco or step into the ...

Re: Wolverine engine block heaters
Right on! Thanks for the feedback. I didn't think about all the connections around the hull sides that are really exposed in those cold temps. That makes a lot of sense. Thanks.

Wolverine engine block heaters
Hi everyone! Does anybody have any experience with the Wolverine Model 25 engine block heaters? Since the motors are out and getting rebuilt, it seems like a good idea to add these. We typically can use the boat year around here in the PNW, but last season we had a full week below freezing! The mari...
