Thank you Doug, It's been a hell of a ride. But at 1 gallon a mile, at 8 miles an hour on a smooth bay. She just was not going to do what I wanted. Going to a sail boat, I still hope to be heading to the Bahamas in November. If things go well, I could be gone for a year. I wish everyone here a clear...

1987 Bertram $25,000
I have decided to sell my boat, yep I am going for a sail boat. With my travel plans now changed, I am going to be buying a sail boat and hopefully make it through the Panama Canal. I have listed her here in the for sale as well as Craigslist. https://norfolk.craigslist.org/boa/d/saluda-1987-bertram...

1987 Bertram $25,000
I am selling my 1987 Bertram 33 foot. This is a classic fishing or cursing boat. I paid $25,000 for her in November 2018. She really did not need a thing done to her , but I decided to bring her up to date with all new features. I want to start off by saying this boat runs perfect ! This is a crazy ...

Doug can you tell me how you have your outboard motor mounted in the cockpit? I am thinking behind the ladder, to the port side , but would need to do something about making it stronger. quote:Originally posted by dougl33 quote:Originally posted by captgene Lot of people here paint the name and port...

Did you need to take down the head liner for a backer plate? I would really not like to do that, it in perfect shape. Most likely I will be mounting on some sort of foam , right side up. So thinking two tie downs. I will know better when it arrives from Defender tomorrow. I have build an addition to...

Dinghy and tieing it down.
If you don't mind me asking, how or were did you mount the tie downs for your dinghy. I just bought an 8 foot 2 inch Mercury from Defender. I am not crazy about putting a hole in the deck, but I feel it's the only way to do it , is to add two tie downs. the third will be the forward cleats. I want t...

check valve / regulator
I am doing some plumbing, and was wondering if I need the regulator and the check valve located on the starboard side? It looks OLD as can be. ( I have a check valve preventing anything from going past the pump and into the tank. ) What is the regulator for? [img]http://vagoldenretrievers.com/a_Marc...
